Making our first donation of 10,800 nutrition packs to malnourished children in Malawi.

‘Does Good Delivery’

To our wonderful community of supporters and friends,

We started 2 Degrees to change the lives of hungry children around the world.  Now we are taking the first step. Because of your incredible support, we are making our first donation of 10,800 nutrition packs to malnourished children in Malawi.

Lauren and I decided to visit our partners to see it all firsthand; we left for Malawi this past Saturday with Christine Smith, our Director of Digital Marketing, and Karen Sadler, a pediatrician with deep experience working with children in developing nations. Over a period of 10 days, we’ll meet with both Valid Nutrition and Partners In Health. We’ll tour Valid’s manufacturing facility in Lilongwe, where they recently completed our first production of nutrition packs (see photo).

The first pallet of nutrition packs donated by 2 Degrees.

By producing in Malawi, Valid employs local workers and supports local farmers. We’re extremely excited to meet with these individuals and hear their stories. We’ll also visit Partners In Health at a Community Health Center in Neno. There we’ll truly see the impact of your support: the delivery of nutrition packs to children in need.

Lauren and I chose the name “2 Degrees” to evoke a unique connection: that between consumers here and hungry children around the world. Over the next few weeks, we’ll show you the impact of this incredible connection you’ve made. As a result of your purchases of 2 Degrees bars, we are able to give critical support to children in need in Malawi.

Thank you for making this first delivery possible. Let’s make it the first of many.

Christine’s Dad, very excited and pleased with what you are doing. I have had the bars and being Diabetic I must say they are first rate. I tell everyone about them, they in Hockey terms are a hat trick. Good product, taste good and for a very good cause.
