Meal Production and Distribution Partners

  • Action Against Hunger | ACF International, works to save the lives of malnourished children while providing access to safe water and sustainable solutions to hunger.
  • Akshaya Patra Foundation prevents malnutrition by providing nutrient-dense meals to chronically hungry and undernourished children throughout India. Because the meals are provided in schools and made by local women, the Foundation also encourages education, gender equality and empowerment, and local economies.
  • As the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity, FA's food bank network members supply food to more than 37 million Americans each year, including 14 million children and 3 million seniors.
  • IMA World Health provides essential healthcare services and medical supplies around the world to vulnerable and marginalized people through local health clinics.
  • Partners In Health provides health care for impoverished communities while working to address the root causes of illness, train providers, advance research and advocate for global policy change.
  • Relief International provides emergency relief, rehabilitation, and development assistance to victims of natural disasters and civil conflicts all over the world.
  • Valid Nutrition is dedicated to providing the highest-quality, UNICEF and WHO-approved, locally-produced therapeutic and supplementary foods to rehabilitate children who are suffering from severe or moderate malnutrition.
  • WFP USA is a nonprofit organization that engages individuals and organizations, shapes public policy and generates resources for the WFP and other hunger relief operations.

Communities donated to since January 2011

  • Haiti
    Centre: Two Degrees works with Partners in Health and Zanmi Agricole in Haiti.  Zanmi Agricole makes Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) called Nourimanba. Two Degrees purchases these RUTF meals from Zanmi Agricole and they are given to children through Partners in Health local clinics. Click here to watch a video on the making of Nourimanba!
  • India
    Hubli, Karnataka: Two Degrees works with the Akshaya Patra Foundation in India. Akshaya Patra produces nutrient-dense meals to feed chronically hungry children in accordance with the Indian national one-meal-per-day policy. The meals--made with lentils, vegetables, and rice--are produced in a large kitchen attached to the school in Hubli and given to children during the school day. Read more about malnutrition in India
  • Kenya
    Kibera: Two Degrees works with Shining Hope for Communities in Kenya. Two Degrees purchases Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) from Valid Nutrition in Lilongwe, Malawi and donates this RUTF to Shining Hope for Communities' health clinic in Kibera, Kenya.   • Malawi
    Neno: Two Degrees works with Partners in Health and Valid Nutrition in Malawi.  Two Degrees purchases Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) from Valid Nutrition in Lilongwe, Malawi. These RUTF are then given to children in Neno, Malawi through Partners in Health’s nutritional clinic. Click here to see pictures from our first donation in Neno, Malawi.
  • Somalia
    Galkayo: Two Degrees works with Relief International in the Galkayo region of Somalia.  The RUTF given to children in Somalia is manufactured in Lilongwe, Malawi by Valid Nutrition.   • USA
    Two Degrees works with Feeding America to distribute meals to individuals in need through food banks. Feeding America is the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity, providing food to over 37 million Americans in need every year.
